What a crazy week it's been. Freezing cold and then nice and sunny. This time of year it's always interesting trying to squeeze in the last minute outdoor senior sessions. Just a little over a week ago I headed outside with Sean and his family (while the weather was cooperating) for some soccer shots—in the dark. Sean was open to being the guinea pig on an idea I had, and, I have to say, I absolutely love what we got. The downside for Sean in this whole process was having balls thrown at his head in the dark. ;) I think he escaped with just a few bruises from the venture. The outdoor session was just one part of Sean's three-hour session—we also captured some pretty cool shots with his car and guitar. Here are just a few of my favorites so far. { blair }

I can't believe that Blair is a senior. Already. It's just hard to believe that it's already been three years since I took her sister's senior pictures. And that that much time has passed by so very quickly. I guess that's a sign of me getting old or something. ;)

Since Blair came all the way from Kiowa, Kansas, I was relieved that we had a somewhat decent day to shoot (kind of windy, but fairly warm). And her indoor shots are just killer. At least, I think so. But I'll let you be the judge.

Reneka has to be the most enthusiastic 4-year-old I've ever met. She was so excited to have her picture taken and is such an adorable child that I found her enthusiasm quite catching. After setting up my lights, I walked up to the lobby and asked her if she was ready to have her picture taken and she replied, "yes, yes, yes!". And she meant it people. She turned on the charm and was all dimples and darlingness (is that even a word?) for the entire shoot. Ah, if only every child could be so enthused! But then I guess my job would be much too easy. ;)  So that you can see for yourself how amazingly cute Reneka is, I'm posting a few of my favorites from the session. Darling!

{ new york and the fabulous miss charlie }

I was recently fortunate enough to fly off to New York to spend some time much needed time with one of my dearest friends. I was so excited to go, not only to see her and her husband, but also to spend some time with their new baby girl—Charlene, a.k.a. Charlie. I, of course, had to take some pictures while I was there. Seeing as how I carried on my luggage, it was all natural light for these particular sessions. I think they turned out gorgeous! 

Miss Charlie will be the youngest guest at my upcoming wedding in May. I can't wait to see how much she grows between now and then! Here she is at six-weeks-old (little stinker came early—she was supposed to be a mere three weeks old when I visited!). Kim, Mark and Charlie—I love you all and can't wait to see you in May! Enjoy! Oh, and here's a few snaps of their other child—Marvin. Marvin is actually one of two cats—but the other cat is quite evil. Kind of like he-who-shall-not-be-named in the Harry Potter series. So no pictures of the Mister! But isn't Marvin cute?
